I’m a BIG kid now!

Nope, I’m not wearing pull-ups.

Now that that question has been answered, let me tell you, oh let me tell you.

I have a desk.

Take a moment.

I know.

I’m shocked too, I never thought that I would sit at a desk after I graduated college. But here I am in the Encounter department at Adventures in Missions. In hind sight I did sit behind a desk as an intern at The Second City, but since that’s a comedy school it only sort-of counts.

It’s amazing to get to help on the back end of missions, I get to plan some of the locations for our short term trips. I tried to do it by my own power, I tried really hard, but it didn’t really work. So once I gave it over to God, plans really starting falling into place.

I was terrified of having a desk, of feeling chained to it and locked in. My department has proven the opposite, there is a lot of freedom here and a lot of grace. I have decorated my desk the way I like, and I work with people who are warm and love to share time and stories.

This summer is when things are really going to start rolling, so stay tuned for updates.

Prayer Requests: That God continue to grow my strengths and that I continue to submit to Him.
